Filing your PIREP
There are two ways to file:
- Auto-file (on by default, toggle in the Flight Log panel): once you're parked at the destination with your engines off, CAVAcars waits about 6 seconds to make sure you've actually stopped, then files the PIREP for you automatically.
- Manual: click File PIREP on the tracking screen. This becomes available once you're on the ground with either your engines off or your parking brake set. If you file from somewhere other than the planned arrival airport, you'll be asked to confirm it as a diversion.
The Flight Log panel (toggle with the Log button) records notable events during the flight automatically — gear, flaps, lights, engine starts, touchdown, and more — and lets you add your own comments, which get folded into the PIREP.
